At 15:00 on December 27, Beijing time, the 33rd round of the 2022 season of the Chinese Super League opened, Guangzhou team sitting in Fujian Jinjiang Sports Center Stadium to face Changchun Yatai. In the first half, Wang Jinxian succeeded with a corner kick opportunity and Yang Liyu assisted Yan Dinghao to equalize the score. In the second half, Changchun Yatai scored two goals in five minutes relying on oolongs from Cheng Changcheng and Li Jiaheng. Tan Long added a shot in front of the goal to seal the victory. In the end, Guangzhou lost 1-4 to Changchun Yatai. The eight champions of the Chinese Super League were relegated in the early round this season.
Competition Overview
Both Wuhan Changjiang and Guangzhou won their matches in the 32nd round of the Chinese Super League which ended on Friday, so in the table, Guangzhou is in the bottom four with 20 points, Wuhan Changjiang is in the bottom three with 19 points, and Guangzhou dropped to the bottom two with 17 points. If Guangzhou beats Shenzhen in this round, it will be relegated early regardless of Guangzhou's result in the penultimate round. It can be said that Guangzhou can no longer control its own destiny.

Moments of Excitement
Changchun Yatai was the first to break the deadlock in the 8th minute of the opening match. Zhang Yufeng opens the left corner. Wang Jinxian stabbed with his right foot in the box melee to break through Huo Shenping's ten fingers 1-0!

The match resumed and in the 53rd minute, Tan Long received a free header from the right side of the field, which turned out to be slightly too high.
Changchun Yatai went beyond the scoreline again in the 55th minute when Zhang Yufeng played a direct ball from midfield, Liu Langzhou appeared at the top and Cheng Changcheng shot easily to make it 2-1!
In the 60th minute, Changchun Yatai went to the next city in a short period of time. Tan Long counterattacked and the top of the arc was blocked by Huo Shenping. Then Cheng Changcheng ended the ball on the doorstep. Li Jiaheng accidentally put his own oval ball down to make it 3-1 on the field!
Changchun Yatai sealed the win in the 77th minute. Substitute Fan Chao went all the way upfield to make a solo breakthrough before hitting a shot from the left side of the box. Huo Shenping tried to block the ball. As a result, the ball came just in front of Tan Long, who easily pushed it out for a 4-1 win!
In the end, Guangzhou lost 1-4 to Changchun Yatai, and the former eight-time Super League champions were relegated in the early rounds of the season.
