Liverpool will host West Ham United at Anfield in the upcoming third round of the EFL Cup. Prior to the match, highly-rated youngster Conor Bradley was interviewed by the club's officials, sharing his expectations for the game, his unforgettable experience of winning the title last season, and how he has grown and adapted under the tutelage of current manager Sloter.
Talking about the upcoming match against West Ham United, Bradley could not hide his excitement: "I am very much looking forward to this game, last year at Wembley Stadium to win the championship experience is still fresh in my mind, that is one of the most brilliant moments in my career. I know it's going to be a tough game against West Ham United, but we're well prepared. I have yet to get my first start this season, but I have been waiting patiently and hopefully when the opportunity comes, I can take it and contribute to the team."
Reflecting on last season's title-winning run at Wembley, Bradley was emotional: "That game meant a lot to me, not only because it was my first trophy for Liverpool, but also because we suffered a number of setbacks leading up to the game but ultimately relied on the outstanding performances of our youth players to win. It was a special day that I will never forget." He emphasized that the EFL Cup has been equally crucial to his personal development, with the tournament seeing him grow and transform from his first-team debut to being a key part of the squad today.
Speaking about working with Head Coach Slaughter, Bradley said, "It feels great, he has improved me a lot. We had a lot of personal meetings and he gave a lot of valuable advice on my skill set and style of play. I'm really enjoying working with him and the coaching team and it's a good start." He revealed that Sloter is very strict with his wing-backs, requiring them not only to have excellent defensive abilities, but also to make a difference in the attacking end. This new tactical philosophy has benefited him a lot and made him more excited to show his strength in the game.
Finally, Bradley is looking forward to the upcoming match at Anfield, "I've always loved playing under the lights at Anfield, it has a special atmosphere and magic. I hope to make my debut tomorrow and work with my teammates to give the fans a great game and lead the team to victory." His words reveal a desire for victory and a boundless vision for the future.
