In the third round of the EFL Cup match played on September 25, Beijing time, Manchester City beat Watford with a score of 2-1, after the match, the outstanding performance of Manchester City youngster Kaden Braithwaite accepted the media interview to share his joy and feelings.

Speaking about the game, Braithwaite couldn't hide his excitement: "This is a dream come true. I've been preparing for this moment for as long as I can remember. To be able to stand here today and realize my goal is overwhelming and unbelievable for me and my family. I know they were in the audience cheering me on, and although I wasn't able to locate them exactly because of the nerves of the race, I know they were there, giving me their utmost support. I think they must be feeling very proud right now. My dad is always with me at practice, rain or shine, and my mom is always on the sidelines cheering me on, and their dedication is what keeps me going."

When asked what manager Pep Guardiola said to him before the game, Braithwaite said, "The manager trusts me a lot and he told me to just play at my own pace and not be afraid to make mistakes. He values me more for my hard work and positive running attitude. This allows me to be more relaxed in the game and be able to play better."

Speaking about how the development paths of fellow City youth trainees Foden and Rico Lewis have inspired him, Braithwaite lamented, "Their success has been a huge inspiration to me. I know how hard it is to make it out of the youth system, and I understand the hard work and challenges they have gone through to do so. Seeing them in the team today gives me a deep sense that I have the opportunity to follow the same path. It's incredibly motivating."

For the future, Braithwaite is looking forward: "I hope to get more playing opportunities in the upcoming games. But I also understand that it requires me to continue to work hard and improve myself. The world of soccer is full of unknowns, you never know what will happen in the future. But I will keep a positive mindset and continue to work hard and try to contribute to the team."
