Official: Former Shanghai Seaport boss Pereira officially takes up Flamengo head coaching position

On December 13, Flamengo officially appointed former Shanghai Port coach Pereira as the team's first-team coach.

Pereira, 54, coached Shanghai Port from December 2017 to December 2020, helping the team win the Chinese Super League title and the China Super Cup.

Originally from Portugal, Pereira has coached Santa Clara, Porto, Jeddah National, Olympiacos, Fenerbahce Munich 1860 and Corinthians during his career. Pereira officially left Corinthians last month. Taking up coaching again to head Flamengo.
