On Nov. 17, media personality Ran Xiongfei recorded a video via his personal social media to reveal that in 2015, Li Tie and his Hebei Huaxia Happiness (the predecessor of the Hebei team) were reported by the Dalian Football Association (DFA) for allegedly faking a match in the last five rounds of the 2015 First Division League season.
Ran Xiongfei said, "At the end of 2015, the Dalian Football Association held a press conference and hired a lawyer to draft a statement involving two reports. One was a report that Hebei Huaxia Happiness bought opponents to play fake games in the last five rounds, and the other report was from Li Tie, who was coaching Huaxia Happiness at the time. This real-name report may have later been resolved by the CFA."
"At the time, Hebei Huaxia Happiness entered the last five rounds of the 2015 season into the rivalry and eventually overtook the second place in the Central League, while Dalian was in third place and missed out on the Premier League."
