Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- At the end of the training with U Croatia, Liu Zhu Run, a seaport teenager who has returned to China, accepted an exclusive interview with reporter Ma Dexing.
Talk about the experience of the trip to Croatia -
I think it was a special experience for myself. After coming to Croatia, I played against second division teams here, including the Croatian Premier League team, and I could feel the atmosphere and environment of foreign soccer. The most important thing is that the confrontation is stronger and more intense than in China, so I still gained something, some progress, which is also an encouragement for myself.
Talking about his performance in the first phase of the Super League -
From my own perspective, confidence may be on the rise. Yes, it should be a matter of confidence. Because I just started playing a team last year, I remained very restrained, and this year I'm slowly starting to settle in. In addition, I'm getting more in tune with my big brothers on the team and I'm no longer as uncomfortable as I was when I first joined the team last year.
Talking about the difference between playing in the U21 National Youth and Harbour -
In the national youth team, because they were all the same age, they felt more open than in the Harbour team. When we came to Croatia, we came to learn, so we didn't think about so many technical moves, like holding the ball. You could also say that we were more confident and daring.
Summarize your game in Croatia-
It still felt quite intensive as I only arrived in Croatia from China at the end of August. I felt a little bit of muscle fatigue in the latter part of the season and my body reacted to it. When I first came here, I especially wanted to go up and prove myself because the coach arranged for me to come on as a substitute at that time. I'm also thinking about when to start, because I really want to feel the strength and level of the team here, or I want to play more games.
Talking about whether to choose club or national youth next year -
It's not my choice to make. If I had to choose for myself, I would like to go where there are more games. The pace of the game in Croatia is much faster and still different from the Super League. However, the Harbor team usually needs fast-paced training. After all, head coach Leko is also Croatian. In training, Leko's demands are very similar to the pace here and the volume of training is very high. So for me, there is a lot of workout value on both sides. At this stage, I need to play at a higher level.
Looking ahead to next year's Olympic qualifiers -
Time is going by so fast. I thought I had two or three years to prepare, but that means next September. Suddenly, I thought what happened to the rest of the time? It's less than a year, so I think we should do well and practice what we have. According to the coaches, we should fight in the game, how to fight, how to fight, how to fight, and how to fight, and how to fight our own stuff.
