According to a new report from leading Spanish sports outlet Marca, Atlético de Madrid are showing strong interest in Rayo Vallecano winger Andrei Florin Latiu (nicknamed "Sonic"). The 25-year-old Romanian international is known for his all-round ability and versatility on the pitch, making him the center of attention for many of the giants.

Born in Ayud, Romania, Andrei Latiu showed a keen interest and talent for soccer from an early age. He started his career at Agua Viva, and then trained more professionally at Andorra CF and Villarreal. During his time at Villarreal, Ratiu not only grew to become a key member of the team, but also had a stint in Villarreal's B team in the summer of 2018 and had a loan spell playing for The Hague in the Netherlands.

In the summer of 2021, Latium left Villarreal, where he had been trained for many years, to join La Liga side Huesca. There, he continued to show his versatility and excellent competitive form. A year later, in the summer of 2023, Ratiu moved to Rayo Vallecano for a fee of €500,000 and quickly became a major force in the team's backline.

Latiu mainly plays as a right back and a right winger, but with his excellent physical quality and comprehensive technical ability, he is also able to play as a right winger, a back, a center back, as well as a left back and other positions. This versatility allows him to flexibly adjust his position according to the team's needs and contribute to the team's strength.

So far this season, Ratiu has made 5 appearances for Rayo Vallecano in all competitions and has scored 1 goal and delivered 1 assist. His outstanding performance has not only won the love and recognition of the fans, but also attracted the attention of a number of giants, including Atletico Madrid.
