On September 6, the Super League

Round 16, Beijing Guoan

will host Zhejiang in Rizhao, the pre-match Guoan

New manager Stanley and Zhang Yuning attended the press conference.

Talking about the preparation, Stanley said: I arrived in Beijing last Sunday, began to lead the team training on Monday, this week we had a lot of meetings, and many players to communicate with communication. I can't change a lot of things about the team in a short period of time. The most important thing is that the whole team can be united as one, which will help us to carry out our work. I've given the players a lot of information during the week and they need to absorb and digest it, so hopefully we'll be able to do well in tomorrow's game.

Zhang Yuning said: It's been a long time since our last game, we've recovered well and we have a new coach. In the past three games, we have shown good form, and I hope we can continue this form tomorrow and welcome the new coach with a win, as well as bring confidence to ourselves.

Q: What changes do you think you've brought to the team this week in practice?

Stanley: Being new to the team, if I bring too many new things, the players need to adapt, and the process is one of ups and downs, it's not like immediately everyone can absorb it. For a week, I can't change the team too much, but I do try my best to improve the team. The important thing is for me and the players to understand each other and reach a consensus. Changing managers in the middle of the season requires a process of adapting to each other, and I'm sure we'll do a good job.

Q: Have you spotted any good young players while watching the reserves train? Who could feature in the later games?

Stanley: There was so much going on this week that I did see 2 reserve team practices, and I know most of the players on the team, and they know me well. Of course, I haven't seen them for a long time, so I'll have to check on their abilities.

Q: Do you feel that the standard of the reserve team players that you have taken before has improved?

Stanley: I've taken some of the younger players, but I haven't seen them for two years either, and I've heard they've improved, but I'll have to watch them again.

Q: How many of the young players currently on the team fit your tactical requirements?

Stanley: I think it's more important to put young players on the field at the right time because it's about how they present themselves and that timing is very important. When you put young guys on the field they have to have enough confidence and that's where a timing is important. They also need to be ready to go on the field themselves and we as coaches need to help them. It's not just me but the whole team that has to help the young players grow. I can give you an example, in Europe, for example, Ajax, usually when the game is going well, for example, 4-0 ahead of the opponent, they will let the young players go up to work. If the team is struggling, it may not be in their favor to switch to young players. That's the view of the whole team, so we need to wait until our team has a good result, then it's a good time to give the young players a chance, provided they're ready of course.

Ask Zhang Yuning how you feel about facing your hometown team tomorrow.

Zhang Yuning: First of all, I'm very happy to see Zhejiang finally return to the Chinese Super League after so many years of hibernation

Stage, congratulations to them. I've been following them for a long time, including previously abroad as well. I hope both sides can give a great game tomorrow and we will take this opponent very seriously.
