Rivaldo is a famous Brazilian footballer, playing as a front man or striker, who won the European Footballer of the Year and the World Footballer of the Year in 1999 at the peak of his career, and was the runner-up of the 1998 World Cup and the winner of the 2002 World Cup. He is one of the legendary superstars of Brazilian soccer.
He is good at dribbling and controlling the ball with his left foot, but barely touches the ball with his right foot. He is physically fit, although some critics say that he has an imbalance between left and right side of his body when he plays the ball. His midfield organization and goal-scoring ability was excellent, and he was at the heart of the attack for both Brazil and Barcelona, although in the early years of his career he played more on the left side of the attack. Rivaldo's left-footed technique was almost perfect, and he had the ability to dominate the game. He was a great player on the break, and he was also a great shot-stopper from long range, and he once scored a spectacular reverse hook that became a classic of his. However, he is also a headache for coaches because he is sometimes too "unique" on the field and can't execute the coach's tactical arrangements.
