In a recent interview, soccer star Hasselbaink expressed his views on Manchester United star Marcus Rashford's form. He bluntly pointed out that in Rashford's current performance, "playing well" no longer seems to be his priority, which triggered widespread concern and discussion.
Hasselbaink began by recalling Rashford's performances when he was at his best. He emphasized that at that time, Rashford was an energetic and combative player who always spared no effort in sprinting, confronting and running on the pitch. This all-out attitude and hustle allowed Rashford to build up his game and become an important scoring point for his team. However, nowadays, Rashford seems to have lost this form and passion, making fans and experts alike feel sorry for him.
Regarding Rashford's changes, Hasselbaink believes that the main problem lies in his mental side. He pointed out that as a player known for his explosive power, Rashford needs to always maintain his desire to win and challenge himself. However, the current Rashford seems to lack that drive and determination, leading to him not performing as well as he used to in games.
Hasselbaink also emphasized that getting Rashford back into form is not the responsibility of manager Ten Hagar alone. Although the coaching team can provide help and support in terms of tactics and training, it is ultimately necessary for Rashford himself to put in the effort to regain his lost form and passion. He encourages Rashford to face his problems bravely and actively seek ways to change and improve in order to become the excellent player that Manchester United and the fans are looking forward to again.
