In a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sydney striker and former Juventus star Douglas Costa shared his insights on the current state of Juventus, a look back at his personal career, and his vision for the future.

Costa began by expressing his deep emotional bond with Juventus, even after having left the team, he still maintains a strong connection with Juve fans and proudly mentioned the three Serie A titles he won on behalf of Juventus. When asked about Douglas Luiz, another Brazilian player in the Juventus squad, Costa showed understanding and encouragement that new environments require a period of adjustment and believed that Douglas Luiz would be a valuable option for the team in the future.

Speaking about his coaching experience, Costa was full of praise for Guardiola, calling him the best coach he has ever encountered. He recalled how Guardiola changed the trajectory of his life and emphasized the importance of Guardiola's high demands, clear and lucid coaching style, and genius tactical concepts to his growth.

Back on the subject of Juventus, Costa has high hopes for Douglas Luiz, believing that he has the ability to be the next Pjanic and play an important role for the team. He also expressed nostalgia for Motta's Brazilian style Juve and praised Motta's top level as a coach.

Speaking about the current state of affairs at Juventus, Costa spoke highly of players like Bremer and Danilo as the backbone of the team. He also recalled an interesting story of how he joined Juve, giving special thanks to Aleix Sandro for his help during his transfer.
