Although his team failed to win the match between Luton and Plymouth, manager Rob Edwards conveyed a positive message to the fans after the match regarding the injury of player Jongtasi. He said that although Jontasi suffered a serious head injury during the game, after initial tests his injury is not expected to have too much of an impact on his long-term health.
Edwards explained Jontasi's current situation in detail, "He's in good shape right now, and we'll be keeping a close eye on his concussion symptoms over the next couple days. He does feel some pain, but from what we've seen so far, it's not too much of a problem." These words certainly bring a measure of comfort to fans concerned about Jontasi's health.
Edwards appeared more frustrated when talking about the game itself. He analyzed Luton's performance on both offense and defense and pointed out the team's shortcomings. He believes that Plymouth showed a higher level of athleticism in the game, both in terms of aggressiveness on the offensive end and solidity on the defensive end.
Edwards singled out, "We got into the opposing team's final third about 40 times, which is almost twice as many as the other team. However, we failed to put enough pressure on their goalkeeper to convert our chances into goals." He admitted that Luton had obvious problems with their efficiency at the attacking end of the pitch, while the defensive side of the pitch was equally poor.
Finally, Edwards concluded, "It's really frustrating to talk about offense and defense and end up losing the game. But we have to face up to our shortcomings, learn from them and improve on them in future games. I believe our players are capable of overcoming difficulties and achieving better results."
