Brighton and Nottingham Forest played an exciting match at home in the 5th round of the English top flight. Both teams showed great fighting spirit and excellent technical and tactical skills in the match, and finally shook hands with a score of 2-2 to get a point each in this evenly matched match.

At the beginning of the match, Nottingham Forest showed a strong desire to attack. In the 13th minute, Odoi was infringed by an opponent in the penalty area, and the referee decisively awarded a penalty kick. Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood took the penalty kick to help his team get a fantastic start, leading Brighton 1-0.

However, Brighton did not get discouraged and they quickly adjusted their form and launched a fierce counterattack. In the 42nd minute, Brighton midfielder Van Hecke sent a fine cross to striker Jack Hinshelwood, who leapt high in the box and scored a header to equalize the score at 1-1.

Immediately after that, Brighton came out again in injury time. In the 45th+2nd minute, Welbeck was awarded a free kick in front of the penalty area, he calmly adjusted his breathing and then hit a powerful shot straight into the corner of the goal, helping Brighton to go back up 2-1.

Nottingham Forest didn't give up their efforts to catch up with the score at the start of the second half. In the 72nd minute, Jorda Silva sent an assist from the left side and Ramon Sousa calmly fired in a shot from inside the box to equalize the score at 2-2. This goal boosted the morale of the Nottingham Forest team and they continued to attack the Brighton goal.

However, as the game progressed into the 83rd minute, Nottingham Forest suffered a major blow. Gibbs-White shoveled Brighton player Pedro in the back while defending, and the referee showed Gibbs-White a second yellow card after checking the VAR and sent him off. Nottingham Forest had to play with one man less, which certainly put more pressure on their defense.

Despite being outnumbered, Nottingham Forest players showed resilience. They spent the rest of the match defending and trying to find opportunities for counterattacks. However, Brighton's players also did a great job in defending closely and didn't leave too many chances for their opponents to break through.

Eventually, with a whistle from the referee, the match was over. Brighton and Nottingham Forest shook hands with a 2-2 scoreline in this intense duel, each taking a point.
