The Golden Gloves and the Yashin Award are the same award. It is one of the FIFA World Cup's individual awards, recognizing the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Since the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the award has been changed to the World Cup Golden Glove. The FIFA World Cup Golden Glove Award was the Yashin Award before the 2010 FIFA World Cup, in honor of Soviet goalkeeper Lev Yashin for his life's work.
