In the heated match between Liverpool and Wolves, Reds defender Robertson was substituted due to injury in the closing stages of the game, a scene that caused widespread concern among fans. However, Liverpool boss Sloter stepped in to calm everyone down in time after the match, saying that Robertson's injury is not serious and is expected to return to training on Monday.
According to Slaughter, Robertson took a few knocks in the closing stages of the game possibly due to fatigue and intense confrontation with his opponents. Especially Wolves' substitute player Forbes, who had a great performance in the Dutch league, posed a challenge to Robertson. Nonetheless, Slotter believes Robertson's injury is not serious and just needs some time to recover.
"I don't think it's a big problem, although you can never be sure," Slaughter said at the press conference, "but I think he just took a little hit. Toward the end of the game, maybe he got a little tired because Forbes created a big challenge for him."
Slaughter showed optimism regarding Robertson's injury. He expects Robertson to be able to return to practice on Monday, but also said he will need to wait for further observation and evaluation. "He took a little hit, but I expect him to be able to practice on Monday," Slaughter said, "but let's wait and see."
