At 23:30 BST tonight, Tottenham Hotspur will usher in the 6th round of the Premier League in a marquee match, away to Manchester United. Before the match, Tottenham manager Postecoglou accepted a momentary interview with Sky Sports on the absence of his team's striker Son.
Postecoglou said that the decision to rest Sun was made due to time constraints as Thursday night's game had just finished and Sun's current form was not quite fit to play. He mentioned that during his time in charge of Tottenham, the team had suffered many times due to the absence of key players and therefore had to learn to play without Son.
Postecoglou further pointed out that Werner is one of the players currently playing in the most comfortable position in the team, which is why the club brought him in to cope with the absence of key players. He believes that in the absence of Son, Werner will play a key role in helping Tottenham Hotspur to get a good result in their away game against Manchester United.
