Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was unlucky to get a red card in the 0-3 home defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the 6th round of the English Premier League, and he was interviewed by Sky Sports after the match. Bruno Fernandes began by expressing his dissatisfaction with the red card decision, emphasizing that no one wants to be sent off with a red card and that it was a terrible feeling. He insisted that he didn't flash his studs, arguing that it was definitely not a red card, even as opponent James Maddison stated that it wasn't a red card when he got up. Bruno Fernandes said that if it was a red card then a lot of other similar situations need to be looked at, he thinks it was just a foul, there wasn't a lot of contact and if the referee wanted to give him a yellow card he could have accepted it but he doesn't understand why the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) didn't intervene to allow the referee to look at the replay on the screen.

Despite being sent off, Bruno Fernandes expressed his gratitude to his teammates for their performance. He admitted that he left the team playing with one less man on the field, but his teammates did a great job. Bruno Fernandes pointed out that the team did not start well with 11 men, but after that his teammates showed tenacity and a great performance. He admitted that it was difficult to cover all the space with one less man, but the team can still learn a lot of good things from this game. Bruno Fernandez said that he is proud of the team and believes that the team can do better in the coming games.
