The NBA Chicago Bulls head coach is Billy Donovan.

Billy Donovan was born on May 30, 1965 and was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the third round of the 1987 NBA Draft. He was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the third round of the 1987 NBA Draft with the 68th overall pick, and played only one season with the New York Knicks before launching his coaching career in 1989, where he achieved numerous successes at the University of Kentucky, Marshall University, and the University of Florida. During his tenure at Florida, he led the team to seven Southeastern Conference regular season championships, four Southeastern Conference Tournament championships, and two NCAA National Tournament championships.

Donovan officially landed in the NBA in 2015 and coached the Oklahoma City Thunder for five seasons before joining the Chicago Bulls in 2020, where he has remained ever since. He took the Bulls to the playoffs in the 2021-22 season, ending the Bulls' four-year absence from the postseason, and in November 2022, Donovan agreed to a multi-year contract extension with the Bulls.
