After helping Barcelona to their first Champions League win with a 5-0 home win over Young Boys Bern, striker Rafinha spoke to Movistar+ to share his thoughts on the game and the team.
Rafinha began by emphasizing the importance of the win: "After losing to Monaco, we had to respond quickly and we did well. We lost in Pamplona the other day and we knew we had to respond. It was much easier to play in front of our fans because we had their support. I'm happy that we got a big win."
Speaking about his team's performance in the game, Rafinha said, "We used to have the philosophy of high pressing and now we are doing it very well. We were all very physical on the field and the substitutes helped a lot. We reproduced Barcelona's character, which is very important."
On his individual performance, Rafinha mentioned the change in his position: "My position is different from last season. The last two seasons I was on the right side and now I have adjusted my position in the team. The biggest change for me is the difference in position, but the motivation to run I have always had."
Rafinha has impressed fans with his running ability, to which he said, "It's important to run all the time, whether you're ahead or behind, and the most important thing is to do your best for the team. I always do my best to run, to create chances, to help the team."
Finally, Rafinha spoke about the importance of goals in this season's Champions League, "In the new format, goals are really important. The more goals we score, the better, because it helps us to dominate the game and lay a solid foundation for advancing to the next round."
