After Manchester United's 0-3 home defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, former United star Ferdinand commented on his team's performance on his personal show, stating that only Onana can be commended in the Red Devils squad.
Ferdinand said, "You know who I have to cheer for? That would be Onana. He played a great game today and without him United could have conceded six or seven goals. Onana has been outstanding all season, he always steps up and makes key saves for his team."
He further emphasized, "United do have some strange situations in their squad right now, but Onana's performance was exactly what we wanted to see. He is the only player in the United squad that can leave the pitch today with praise or he was the only highlight of the day. He can leave the pitch with his head held high because he did his best and although he conceded 3 goals, none of those goals were his fault. He kept us in suspense of the game for a while."
