Born September 25, 1976, Billups is a former American professional basketball player who played point guard. He was drafted by the Celtics in the third round of the 1997 draft and played for the Celtics, Raptors, Nuggets, Timberwolves, Pistons, Knicks, and Clippers during his career.In 2004, Billups led the Pistons to the NBA Championship, and was honored as the Finals MVP.
On June 27, 2021, Billups became the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers. As of December 2023, he has coached the Blazers for three seasons, with a total record of 67 wins and 124 losses, a winning percentage of only 35%. in April 2024, Billups was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
