Dewsbury Hall, who scored Chelsea's first goal in their 4-2 UEFA Europa League first round win over Gent, spoke to TNT Sports after the game to share his joy and feelings.

The feeling of scoring a goal

"I am very happy. Since joining Chelsea I have been waiting for this moment to show everyone what I am made of. It felt fantastic to score, it was a very special moment and I won't forget this night."

Individual efforts and responsibilities

"I pride myself on working as hard as I can every day. I want to play more games, but I know my role is to provide options for the manager and contribute to the team. I will give my best regardless of the amount of playing time. Now I feel refreshed and excited about the future."

Team atmosphere and learning

"I like it here a lot. Chelsea is a great club and you have high expectations as soon as you arrive. The standards here are high, but that's what I came here for - to learn and develop. It's great to play with these top players, they're all very professional and dedicated and that's helped me grow."

The influence of skipper Maresca

"He (Maresca) is like a breath of fresh air. I was so impressed by him when he first arrived last year. There is passion and drive in everything he does and he has revitalized the team. You could see that the lads identified with him and we all benefited from his tactical philosophy and training methods. I am grateful for the opportunity he has given me and I will continue to work hard to live up to his trust."
