After the Champions League defeat against Aston Villa, Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller was interviewed and gave an insight into his team's last two matches. Despite the 0-1 defeat against Villa in the Champions League, Muller appeared quite calm, saying: "Aston Villa is undoubtedly a strong opponent, and this loss really hurts, but considering that we have already won 9-2 in the first round, with a significant goal difference, this loss will not have too much impact on our overall situation. In the league stage, we still have six games to adjust our form and try to achieve a more desirable position in the table." Muller is confident about Bayern's Champions League prospects this season and is confident that his team will have more victorious Champions League nights and make steady progress towards the big goal of playing the final at home.
Speaking about the league draw with Leverkusen, Muller believes that the match reflects the current direction of Bayern's development: "The match against Leverkusen allowed us to see the team's progress. Although the 1-1 draw wasn't enough to show our full strength, Leverkusen won the title last season with 90 points, and the intensity of their defense in the game was proof that our opponents are improving as well. This is a clear signal for me that we are on the right path and that our opponents feel threatened by us." Müller also revealed that the team's training is going well, the new tactical system is comfortable for the players and everyone is very clear about what the coach wants. He emphasized, "There are no question marks in the current state of the team, only exclamation marks, and we are confident about the future."
