Arsenal beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 at home in the second round of the Champions League stage played early this morning. After the match, Arsenal player Kivior shared his thoughts on the match in an interview with Canal+.
Kivior said, "At halftime, I learned that I would be playing in the second half. At that moment, I had to get ready immediately, and despite the time constraints, I didn't slack off. In the first few minutes, I wasn't quite in the game yet - after all, it was a sudden rush from the bench into a tight game. But fortunately, I quickly adapted to the rhythm of the field and gradually found my way back."
He continued, "While this game may not have been the toughest of my Champions League career, the result certainly helped me get into the game better. Timberlake suffered a minor injury and that was the main reason I came on. It was only a temporary substitution, but I valued the opportunity."
Speaking about how playing has affected him, Kiviol said, "It's definitely good to get a chance to play. Even if it's just these 45 minutes, it gives me more confidence. I know that every minute of playing time is valuable on the soccer field. I hope to get some more playing time and further improve my form before the upcoming national team training."
Additionally, Kiviol emphasized the performance of the entire team, "A good performance by the entire team was the key to the win. We came on the field knowing what we wanted to do in the game from the beginning and kept working towards the goal of winning. This unity of spirit and clarity of purpose was a big reason why we were able to beat a tough opponent."
