According to a new report from British media outlet Football Insider, Premier League side Crystal Palace's midfield general Eze could become a favorite in next year's transfer market. The 26-year-old England international has expressed his desire to leave Crystal Palace in 2025 to seek a new professional challenge.

Premier League giants such as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have long maintained a strong interest in Eze, but neither side made a concrete move in the last summer transfer window. This is mainly due to the fact that Eze's current contract used to contain a release clause of up to around £68 million, however this has now lapsed and will have to wait until 2025 to come back into effect.

Sources have revealed that if Eze decides to actively push for a move to a top club, it could force Crystal Palace to the negotiating table and hammer out a transfer fee for him that is less than his release fee. Such a move offers potential buyers such as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool a good opportunity to bring in reinforcements.

Eze is currently under contract with Crystal Palace until June 2027, but the attacking midfielder is clearly ready for a new challenge. Not only is he a regular in the England national team, but he has also been in fine form for Crystal Palace this season. So far, he has made eight appearances for the team, scoring three goals and dishing out two assists, showing great attacking ability.

It is worth noting that Eze's former teammate Ollese quickly became a key player for Bayern Munich after leaving Crystal Palace in the summer. This success story has certainly provided Eze with more motivation and confidence to pursue his career at a top club.

For Crystal Palace, how to reasonably deal with Eze's transfer while maintaining the team's competitiveness will be an important issue. They need to ensure the interests of the team at the same time, but also for Eze's career development considerations, to seek a mutually acceptable solution.
