Manchester United legend Bryan Robson is about to embark on another climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, this time not only to challenge himself but also to raise money for charity, according to the Daily Mail.
Back in 2013, Robson successfully climbed the 5,895-meter African peak with former teammate Kevin Moran. The experience was unforgettable for Robson, who recalls: "It was one of the most challenging experiences of my life. During the climb, my body was pushed to its limits and I got a deep sense of how difficult the mountain was."
Now, at the age of 67, Robson has decided to challenge himself once again by joining a team of 30 trekkers who will climb Mount Kilimanjaro from October 6th to 17th. The goal of the climb is to raise money for the Manchester United Foundation, and to date, his fundraising page has received a cumulative total of more than £8,000 in donations, with widespread support from all sectors of the community.
Robson was known as "Captain Marvel" during his career at Manchester United for his tenacious midfield play and outstanding leadership. Even after years of retirement, he still maintains his passion for soccer and charity. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro again is another example of his resilience.
For Robson, the climb was not only a physical challenge, but also an opportunity to give back to the community through his actions. He hopes that through this adventure, he will not only succeed in reaching the summit again, but also contribute more to charity. Robson said, "I hope that through my efforts, I can inspire more people to participate in charitable causes and send warmth and hope to those in need."
Regardless of the outcome, Robson's courage and dedication will surely continue to inspire others. His actions not only demonstrate the resilience and perseverance of the Manchester United legend, but also convey positive energy and the value of giving back to the community. We look forward to Robson's success in climbing Kilimanjaro again and bringing more help and support to charity.
