In the 2nd round of the Champions League stage played in the early hours of October 2, Beijing time, Arsenal won an important victory at home 2-0 over Paris Saint-Germain. After the match, Gunners star Ian Wright highly praised the performance of new recruit Carafiore in his blog, believing that he completely activated the team's left attack.

Wright said, "Carafiore played really well, and I've always felt that the left side of our team's attack wasn't fully activated, and neither Zinchenko nor Kiviol have been able to address that well. Even bringing on Timberlake didn't make much of a difference. But the arrival of Carafiore has really made a difference."

"He activated and freed up Martinelli, allowing Martinelli to be more comfortable and bold in the attack, knowing that Calafiori is behind him with solid defensive support. Changes like this have had a very positive positive impact on the team."

Wright also mentioned that since Zinchenko joined Arsenal, the team has already made huge changes in terms of attacking propulsion and controlling the game. However, the addition of Carafiore has taken the team to another level. "I really didn't know he was that good before, he's completely exceeded my expectations."

Wright also spoke highly of Calafiori's ability to adapt: "We often hear that certain players can't adapt to a new league or a new team, but Calafiori was able to plug and play and adapt quickly to the environment and the pace of the game here. It's really rare to find a player like that."

It is reported that the 22-year-old Carafiore joined Arsenal in the summer window this year with a transfer fee of 45 million euros, and so far made a total of seven appearances for the team, including four starts, and scored one goal. His arrival has undoubtedly injected new vitality into Arsenal's left-sided attack.

Wright concluded, "We definitely didn't expect to get such a good player before, and he really surprised us with his performance. I hope he can continue to keep this form and bring more victories for Arsenal."
