Liverpool beat Bologna 2-0 at home in the second round of the Champions League stage in the early hours of this morning. After the match, Liverpool player McAllister was interviewed by TNT Sports, sharing his thoughts on the match and the current situation of the team.
McAllister began by commenting on the game, "I'm very pleased personally and so is the whole team. Alisson made some great saves in the game and at times we did need to defend better, but Alisson's performance showed how good he is. I'm happy for him and the team that we came together to get this win."
Speaking about his goal, McAllister said, "It's always hard to score goals, sometimes you can miss chances, but a goal is a goal. In our team, Salah always sees everything when we start an attack and I'm happy for him with his performance. It was a good night for everyone."
On whether the team is still adapting to new head coach Slaughter's style, McAllister said, "Obviously, we are in the transition phase. We are happy with the coach's ideas and are working hard to achieve his goals. Of course, we still have room for improvement and that's why we work hard every day. We want to keep improving and bring more wins to the team."
