On June 3, 2021, Shenzhen Salon of the Chinese Super League and Barcelona Salon of La Liga giants jointly announced that Cruyff Jr. went to Barcelona, finishing his coaching at Shenzhen:
I. Mr. Jordi Cruyff stepped down as the Head Coach of the First Team of Shenzhen Football Salon and will take up a post at Barcelona Football Salon.
