
In preparation for the upcoming Top 40, the South Korean national team announced a new 28-player training list on the 24th. Kim Min Jae, Kim Shin Wook and Son Jun Ho, three players who play in the Chinese Super League (CSL), have been selected, which means they will not be involved in at least the 6th and 7th rounds of the CSL.
The South Korean men's soccer team's new training list is led by Son, and Kim Min-Ja from Beijing Guoan, Jin Xin-Yu from Shanghai Shenhua, and Sun Jun-Ho from Shandong Taishan have also been called up by head coach Paulo Bento. South Korea is in Group H of the 40-team tournament, and with one less game to play, they are currently ranked second in the group, and are considered likely to complete a "comeback" in the standings in the final three matches. According to the schedule, Korea will face Turkmenistan on June 5, Sri Lanka on June 9, and Lebanon on June 13th.
The sixth and seventh rounds of the Chinese Super League will be played on June 21 and 26, respectively, and three players playing in the Chinese Super League will miss at least two rounds of their respective clubs' matches, even if they are able to return from South Korea at the first opportunity after the matches, due to the need to undergo medical quarantine observation.
