
At 7:30 p.m., CCTV5 will broadcast the 2024 CFA Cup semifinals live, with traditional powerhouse Shandong Taishan hosting upstart Chengdu Rongcheng. The match will be played as a one-legged tiebreaker, with extra time and possibly even penalties in the event of a draw. In the Chinese Super League, Chengdu Rongcheng, coached by South Korean coach Seo Jung-won, is currently ranked third with 52 points and has basically secured a place in the second tier of the AFC Champions League, with excellent players such as Felipe, Zhou Dingyang from the island of Baojiao, and Wei-Shihao in the team. Shandong Taishan, led by South Korean manager Choi Kang-hee, has foreigners such as Kressan, Wang Dalei and Gao Junyi as well as a number of internationals, and is currently in fifth place with 38 points.

At 10.30am and 6pm, CCTV5+ will record the 2024 World Table Tennis Championships - Macau, China in two time slots. The Chinese table tennis team led by Liu Guoliang won two individual titles, with Sun Yingsha winning the women's singles title against teammate Wang Yidi in a showdown between the national women's team.
In the men's singles final, 2005-born junior Lin Shidong beat Qiu Party, representing Germany, 4-0. Japan's Misaki Ito, who serves with a distinctive stance, and Chinese-born players from Sichuan, China, Tomokazu Zhang and Miwa Zhang were out of the tournament.
