Mallorca
It was officially announced that head coach
Javier Aguirre
will have his contract expire and leave at the end of the season and will not coach the team next season.
Mallorca is currently ranked 17th in La Liga and has been relegated early. In addition, the team finished second in the Copa del Rey, thus qualifying for next season's Spanish Super Cup, which will be played against Real Madrid.
Earlier, Marca had reported that Javier Aguirre had received an offer to coach the South Korean national team. Aguirre has made a significant contribution to the team during his tenure at Mallorca and his departure marks a new phase for the team.
Mallorca will begin the search for a new manager at the end of the season with a view to remaining competitive next season, especially in important tournaments such as the Spanish Super Cup. The team's relegation success and excellent performance in the Copa del Rey set the stage for the new season.
Mallorca fans and the club are grateful for Aguirre's contribution and look forward to a brighter future under the new manager.
