Henry's final stage is the Olympics. The French Football Association officially announced on Monday (KST) that "Henry, the coach of the French national team, has decided to terminate his contract until June 2025." The French Football Association offered Henry the position of head coach of the French women's national team in March 2023, but Henry turned it down. Since then, there have been many rumors about Henry as a coach, but finally, on August 21, 2023, the French Football Association appointed Thierry Henry as head coach of the U-21 men's national team. The goal given to Henry by the French Football Association was to help his country, France, win an Olympic gold medal. However, Henry was a poor player with a track record of sabotaging the teams he coached. France lost 0-2 in a friendly match against Austria and 3-0 in a match against Yellow.

Henry chose Alexandre Lacazette, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Luik Bardet as wildcards and showed a different side in the ensuing Olympics. Henry showed cool attacking soccer based on a strong squad to get through the group stage perfectly, scoring seven goals and conceding none. After beating Argentina and Egypt in the quarterfinals and semifinals, France met Spain in the final. France seemed to crumble with three consecutive goals in the first half, but a big goal in the second half sent the game into extra time. However, they conceded a couple of goals in extra time and eventually lost the silverware 3-5. Thierry Henry called Philippe Diallo, the president of the French Football Federation, at the 2024 Paris Olympics to tell him of his decision.
