In 2001, Zhou Tong joined Beijing Guoan from his hometown of Zibo in Shandong Province
In 2006, as a member of Guoan's third-tier team, Zhou Tong participated in the "Adidas + Challenge Global Finals" held in Germany with the team, and coach He Hongguang made him the captain.
