Pogba released a personal statement:

"The nightmare is finally over.

According to the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, I can look forward to the day when I can pursue my dream again.

I have always said that I have never knowingly violated WADA rules when taking nutritional supplements prescribed to me by my doctor, supplements that do not affect or enhance the performance of male athletes.

I competed in good faith, but I have to accept that this is a strict liability offense and I want to thank the CAS judges who heard my explanation. It was a very painful period in my life because everything I had worked so hard for was suspended.

Thank you again for all your love and support. I can't wait to get back on the field.

CAS confirms Pogba was inadvertently using banned substances, sends his four-year

to 18 months, allowing him to start being able to train with Juve in January and compete in March, and his 5,000 euro fine was dropped.

During Juve's 3-0 Udinese match on August 20, 2023, Pogba came on as a substitute and he underwent an anti-doping test after the match, which showed a positive result for dehydroepiandrosterone, a more powerful and modern androgen than testosterone. Ultimately, Pogba was banned for four years, which began on September 11th.

Pogba says he did not intentionally use a banned substance and is appealing his four-year ban.
