In a recent interview with the club's officials, Sterling fondly recalled his upbringing and revealed his plans for the future. He emphasized that soccer is an integral part of his life and that enjoying it is the most important lesson he learned from elementary school. No matter what position or level he plays at, he loves playing and the feeling of winning.

Sterling moved to London at the age of five and soon joined QPR's youth academy. He cites Clive Ellington as his mentor, while Steve Gallen and Abdi had a profound influence on him early in his career. He was only 15 when he joined Liverpool and the move was a big moment for him as he was keen to prove himself at a higher level and make it to the England U16's. He never put any pressure on himself, he just loved doing the whole thing of playing football and was always setting small goals and working hard to improve.

Talking about his strengths, Sterling said that he is very disciplined, motivated, loves to play soccer every day and enjoys crossing, changing direction and passing opposing players. He spends all his time playing soccer for the love of the game. As for his future plans, Sterling said he is not sure if he will become a coach yet, but he would like to work with the young players to help them deal with what is coming next and prepare them for it. He prefers to help people on the field rather than working in a traditional coaching job. He revealed that he may get a qualification but will focus on the game first.

Sterling also shared his love for his new club's training center, especially the analysis room. He really enjoys analyzing his opponents and learning about their tactics and coping strategies. He believes that being well-prepared is the key to winning matches, and analyzing opponents is an integral part of the preparation process. He enjoys doing this with the coaches and trying to understand what both teams are doing, not just watching the game. Sterling believes that this is an aspect of the game that has really evolved over the past few years, and that the environment he's in has allowed him to look at the game more in that way.
