He was only 15 when he joined Liverpool and the move was a big moment for him as he was keen to prove himself at a higher level and make it to the England U16's. He never put any pressure on himself, he just loved doing the whole thing of playing football and was always setting small goals and working hard to improve.
Talking about his strengths, Sterling said that he is very disciplined, motivated, loves to play soccer every day and enjoys crossing, changing direction and passing opposing players. He spends all his time playing soccer for the love of the game. As for his future plans, Sterling said he is not sure if he will become a coach yet, but he would like to work with the young players to help them deal with what is coming next and prepare them for it. He prefers to help people on the field rather than working in a traditional coaching job. He revealed that he may get a qualification but will focus on the game first.
Sterling also shared his love for his new club's training center, especially the analysis room. He really enjoys analyzing his opponents and learning about their tactics and coping strategies.
