Atletico Madrid are preparing for the new La Liga season, and the club's official social media shared photos of Omorodion and Barrios taking part in the team's training with the caption, "Our Olympic champions." The two players have won Olympic gold medals in men's soccer with the Spanish national Olympic team.
Prior to this, Omorodion was close to joining Chelsea, with a £34.5m transfer fee agreed between the two clubs, but due to personal terms, Omorodion ended up returning to Atletico Madrid to train with the squad.
