
Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Manchester City Women's Football has officially announced that 28-year-old Japanese women's football player Yamashita Aoyaka has joined the team on a contract until 2027 in a transfer from Kobe Lioness.
Apricot Yamashita is also the third Japanese player brought in by City's women's soccer team this summer. They first brought in defender Risa Shimizu from West Ham Ladies FC this summer before signing midfielder Fujiba from Japan's TV Beauties earlier this month. With the addition of Naoto Hasegawa playing for the team, City now have four current Japanese women's internationals in their ranks.
In other reports, the Kobe Lionesses have officially announced that another Japanese women's international soccer player, Mitsuko Kitagawa, has announced her departure from the team.
