Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The German Football Association (DFB) officially announced that German women's soccer team captain and main center forward Popp missed the Olympic semifinal match with the United States due to infection.
Due to the infection, the German Football Association announced that Popp, 33, will not be able to play in the Olympic semifinal against the United States.
Substitute Nicole Aniomi (Frankfurt) will replace her on the 18-man roster.
