On the night of July 20, the 24th round of the Chinese Super League match between Wuhan Sanzhen and Chengdu Rongcheng at home, because of the hot scene, a lot of "stories" happened. These "stories" may lead to new problems and even be punished by the Football Association. One of them is Ren Hang, the captain of Wuhan Sanzhen.

The main issue related to Renhang was when Felipe and Park Ji-soo collided in a fight for an overhead kick in the 77th minute of the match and both fell to the ground, which caused a clash between the two players. The referee showed a yellow card to Felipe, Li Yang and Ren Hang respectively. The two yellow cards turned red in the 85th minute when Ren Hang shanked Felipe at the front of the penalty area and received his second yellow card of the individual match.

In fact, although he was sent off with a red card, it was still part of the game. If so far, this intense game or the "story" mentioned at the beginning of this article has little to do with Ren Hang. However, after the match, Ren Hang might be angry because he chatted with the netizen who signed the autographs of Dai & Lin.

According to the news forwarded by some famous media people, the chat between Ren Hang and Dai & Lin has two main points: firstly, to express his dissatisfaction with the referee's two yellow cards given to him in the game; secondly, to satirize and ridicule the opposing players as "city management".

Among them, Ren Hang especially thought that the conflict between the two players after the collision between Felipe and Park Ji-soo had nothing to do with himself and should not be yellow-carded (his exact words were:What does the first yellow card have to do with me?No. 25, looking for theories on every ball, the referee said nothing). Dai & Lin said: "(Luckily Wuhan three towns) No. 25 did not meet me." Renhang said he was like a city policeman when "all the balls were in his shadow". After Dai&Lin praised and complimented this wonderful metaphor and expressed it well, Renhang smiled and commented to himself: "Wonderful".

Who are the Chengdu Hibiscus 25 players? After learning about Renhang and Dai&Lin's chat, how did they react? Since it's not the focus of this article, I won't show it here. But it's one of the "stories" that came out of this game, and it's quite fascinating.

Article 82 of the CFA Discipline (2024), "Irresponsible Comments", stipulates that member associations, regional committees and players who make irresponsible comments, intentionally attack match officials, other players, officials, clubs (teams), or who have a negative impact on the CFA, shall be suspended for at least one match or fined at least 10,000 RMB.

According to the above chats, Ren Hang committed at least two offenses: "making irresponsible comments related to the match" and "attacking other players" (calling the opposing player #25 a city manager). According to the disciplinary code, Ren Hang will likely be suspended or fined by the FA.

Compared to at least a one-match suspension or a 10,000 fine, mocking an opposing player may be more serious and have a worse impact. To be honest, Ren Hang's jokes are too big, even "collapse", including the suspicion of "smearing" a certain industry. In addition, Ren Hang and Dai & Lin's chat records have been reposted by many well-known media people, causing a large number of netizens to watch and comment, resulting in a real social impact, whether it is bad enough.

Therefore, I personally believe that if the FA penalizes Ren Hang, I am afraid that it will not only suspend him for one game or fine him 10,000 yuan. It is very likely that the Football Association will consider Ren Hang's "irresponsible comments" serious enough to take the principle of heavy punishment, and may suspend Ren Hang for 10 matches or fine him 108,000 yuan.

This incident should once again serve as a wake-up call for players, teams and clubs:Control your mouth and don't make random match-related comments on social media, especially don't deliberately attack referees and opposing players.

As a matter of fact, in recent years, players, coaches or club investors have been penalized or even severely punished by the Football Association in the Chinese Super League and the Chinese First Division. As a club, we should also educate our players and other staff to respect the referees, opponents and fans, abide by the order of the league and work together to maintain the order of the league.
