July 28, 2011 - The Japanese national Olympics beat the Malian national Olympics 1-0 in the second round of the men's soccer group stage at the Paris Olympics early this morning, confirming their advancement to the Olympic knockout stage.
After the match, Japan's national Olympic team captain, Jean Ruko Chima Fujita, was interviewed and said, "Our team faced greater difficulties for most of the match, but fortunately we managed to withstand the pressure from the other team." It was great to win the game without conceding a goal in the end."
He said, "Our goal is always the championship. Getting to the last eight is not enough to reach our goal, we can't stop there and have to be ready for the next game."
