May 22, 2011 - The Chinese men's soccer team released its latest list of players, and Shanghai Shenhua's midfielder Xu Haoyang was selected for the first time.
Xu Haoyang, 25, helped his team win the 2021 Central League and 2022 Chinese Super League titles while on loan at Wuhan Sanzhen. After returning to Shanghai Shenhua, he went on to win the 2023 CFA Cup and 2024 China Super Cup with his teammates.
This season, Xu Haoyang played 13 Super League matches for Shenhua, scoring two goals and sending one assist. This is the first time in his career that he has been selected for the national team training list.
In addition to Xu Haoyang, first-time selections for the national team include Huang Zhengyu, Yang Zexiang, Bao Yaxiong, Baihe Lamu and Han Pengfei.
