In fact, when I couldn't play soccer in the second half of last season, I felt very distressed. At the time, I probably didn't realize what was wrong with me, but I've since grown to understand the way the manager's three fullbacks play, become more familiar with it, and adapted to it over time. I make targeted summaries every day and write them all down.

I am a defensive defender, but by watching some game videos of teams playing three defenders, I think I can't defend blindly. I should find a proper state between defense and offense, which is a qualified defender. I did watch a lot of matches, did a lot of homework, and then gradually became better and better through the coaches telling me how to adjust myself and how to play.

Every coach has a different system and they learn different things from each coach. With El Salvador's three-guard system, I think I made a lot of progress this year. The three-guard system requires players to have more skill at their feet, as well as passing and ball control. I think I have made a lot of progress in this area. In addition, after more than two months of hard work, I am significantly better than last season on a conscious level. The head coach has always given me confidence and his teammates usually help me a lot!

Tweet: So far, you've scored one goal. There's another goal, but it doesn't count. Even though you're a defender, you're actively involved in the offense. Is this a deliberate arrangement by the head coach? What do you think of the current team's offense and the problems that still exist in the process?

BOAT: Growing up, I've always been a player who likes to attack and score goals. I have a strong desire to attack. I also wish I could help more teams in the offense. I really like to get forward and get involved in the offense. Under Sasquatch's system, I can do the same.

This is a problem that has been plaguing us. It's really unsatisfactory. Under the guidance of our coaches, we're going to work on improving that with some drills, including some special shooting drills. Everyone has practiced and it's specifically targeted drills. In the last game, I insisted on equalizing the score. I think the daily drills still work.

Tweet:The tactical philosophy and the three-at-the-back style of play promoted by the head coach Salvador. How are you adapting to it now? What do you think I should strengthen to better adapt and implement? When you show up, will Sr. Sa make some targeted arrangements for you individually?

Boat: For myself, I certainly need to improve slowly. I'm not satisfied with the status quo. I hope I can get better and better, score more goals and at the same time play good defense so I can improve further.

Personally, in general, before a game, my coach will tell me to be confident. Don't be afraid to face the opposing team's wide receivers. Bold defense, bold offense. After that, I have no pressure. I can let go of my performance and try to give full play to my strengths in every game and dare to let go.

Tweet:Do you usually follow the games of some teams close to Guangzhou in international soccer? Inter Milan and Leverkusen, for example, have been playing three at the back. Who are your favorite teams and players? Are you influenced by the power of example?

Boat: I'm not looking at one team, I'm collecting some highlights of the back four with three defenders playing. If I like to watch Man City and Liverpool play as a whole. I'll watch both teams whenever time permits. For stars, I used to prefer Ramos, but then I don't like it so much. I will watch the world's top players in the same position as me and see if they can learn something good from it. On a team level, I like Real Madrid.

Tweet:Currently the team presses the opponent's offense at the beginning, but once the counterattack is made it is stolen from the opponent. It has happened several times. Have targeted solutions been started? How can you continue to improve your defense in training matches? What specific adjustments will be made to your position?

BOAT: The three defender system puts more men in at the offensive level. If we lose the ball up front, we're going to get counterattacked. Generally, we play less and more in the backfield. In this case, we did give up a lot of goals. At this level, the assistant coaches edit videos for us after every game. Sometimes the whole team watches it together, sometimes individual players watch it on their own and we should know where we stand. The next time we are in a similar situation, we should know how to solve these problems and avoid repeating them. I think it will get better and better through everyone's efforts.

Tweet: After 10 rounds of the China First Division League, Guangzhou is currently sixth and 15th in the standings. Did you ever think this stage would have such a result at the beginning of the season? Including the rest of the team, did you ever think about it? Although the club has not put forward a specific target, if the development continues at this stage, the result will be improved from last season. What do you think?

Boat:I think from the beginning of the season until now, I'm still happy with sixth place in the standings and happy with the points level. But I still think that if we had worked harder and taken our chances better in the first few games, we could have stormed up there again! It's a shame that those goals weren't won, but the atmosphere in the current squad is particularly good and there's no pressure to perform, so we should focus on each game.

Tweet: Talk about your personal goals for the season, are you confident you'll achieve them this season?

BOAT: Personally, I'd like to play and improve steadily this season, including consistent playing time. Then I hope to score three goals a season. So far, I've scored one goal and have two to go. If I can achieve that, I can have a steady playing time and take a step up from last year in terms of offense and defense, which is great. I didn't think too much about it and I didn't think too much about it. I thought smaller and that really improved myself.

MING: Any heartfelt words for the Guangzhou fans who have been supporting the team and you?

Boat: We play soccer here and have such great fans who support us. Whether it's away or at home, they always support us. Whether we win or lose, I think they really make us happy. They always encourage us and accompany us. Thank them very much.

Interview experience: I am very grateful to Liu Langzhou, a member of the Guangzhou team, for accepting our interview seriously and speaking freely before the training. I think this young man is a very real person with a strong ability to express himself. His judgment and positioning of himself is very accurate and his goals are very clear. This young man still needs experience, but his progress this season is obvious to all and is getting more and more recognized by the Sahara manager. I'm sure he will get better and better in the future. Keep up the good work, the future is something to look forward to. Liu Langzhou is looking forward to your progress step by step and has made great strides each season.
