Song Kai, president of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), will attend the upcoming AFC General Assembly and FIFA General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand, where he will participate in the voting for the host of the 2027 Women's World Cup, according to a report by Beijing Youth Daily.

Song Kai, president of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), is leading three others who are scheduled to depart from Beijing on the evening of May 14 for Bangkok, Thailand. They will attend the 34th Asian Football Association Members' Conference and the 74th International Federation of Association Football Members' Conference in that city, which will be held on the 16th and 17th, respectively.

It is understood that the AFC will officially announce the naming results of the reformed and upgraded AFC's new three-tier men's professional club international tournaments at the 34th AFC General Assembly on the 16th. The meeting will also elect two new executive committee members through voting.

In addition to the implementation of the general procedures, the FIFA General Assembly on the 17th will implement an important agenda - the organizers of the 2027 Women's World Cup will be voted by all member associations. A week ago, FIFA confirmed that the evaluation report of the Working Group for the Evaluation of Bids for the 2027 Women's World Cup was available. It showed that two bids met the tournament's "minimum hosting requirements". Of the two bids, one was submitted jointly by the Belgian Football Association, the German Football Association and the Dutch Football Association; the other was submitted separately by the Brazilian Football Association. A total of 211 international soccer associations received invitations, including the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The President of the CFA, Song Kai, personally led a delegation to Thailand to attend the meeting and will cast an important vote on behalf of the Association at the meeting, which will take place on the 17th.

For Songkai, the purpose of this trip is not just to fulfill the meeting procedures. We will use the opportunity of this meeting to gain a deeper understanding of the latest developments in current international and Asian soccer, as well as to deepen our exchanges with the FIFA, AFCA and other important member associations, in order to strive for a more favorable external environment for the development of Chinese soccer.
