On May 13, 2024, the third round of the knockout stage of the Youth Football Championship (Professional Clubs U15 Group) organized by the Chinese Football Association took place. Changchun Yatai U15 team defeated Tianjin Jinmen Tiger U15 team with a score of 2-0 and successfully advanced to the final stage.
The 2024 CSL Youth Football Championship (Professional Clubs U15 Group) is divided into two phases: the knockout phase and the final phase. The knockout stage started on May 7 in Wuhan and Weifang, with a total of 13 Chinese Super League, 4 Chinese First Division and 2 Chinese Second Division clubs' youth teams divided into 4 groups to play single round robin matches.
According to the draw, Changchun Yatai U15 team is located in Group C of the Weifang tournament. In the knockout rounds, Changchun Yatai Scouts lost to Qingdao Sea Bulls 0-1, drew with Liaoning Ironmen 2-2, and beat Tianjin Jinmen Tigers 2-0, winning the second place in Group C with 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss, and successfully advancing to the final.
On the 14th, Changchun Yatai U15 team will return to Yatai Jinyue Base to continue to prepare for the first stage of the professional club U15 final on September 10th.
