On January 26, 2015, the State Council approved the General Plan for the Reform and Development of Chinese Football, and a new chapter in the development of youth soccer in China was finally opened. Since then, China's soccer population has increased year after year, corresponding to the age below U17. From this point of view, China's victory is reasonable and the first results achieved since the soccer reform.

Soccer development is a long process. In recent years, China's soccer population has grown effectively, and there is still a long way to go before the fruits are harvested. the U17 Women's Asian Cup has given fans hope that Chinese women's soccer is on the rise, or at least proved that the younger generation is indeed growing. All in all, Chinese soccer has basically gone through the toughest phase. Although the slump of the adult team will continue, the youth team will bring more good news.

China's women's soccer team has seen hope in the development of its ladder, and more young talent will emerge in the future. As the fans said, the game completely overwhelmed Australia and it has been a long time since we played such a rich battle. The women's soccer team is currently on the right path. Overall, it should revive faster than the men's soccer team. In about 5-10 years, the Chinese women's soccer team is expected to return to being a world power.

There are no real signs about China's men's soccer ladder at this stage, which means that the men's soccer ladder remains silent. At the U17 Asian Cup in 2023, China had individual players who performed well, but the overall performance remained poor. The game of soccer relies more on team strength, especially as East and Southeast Asian teams are at a disadvantage when it comes to physical confrontation and the relative need for teamwork. In short, the men's soccer ladder is still in its infancy and far from blossoming.

The players covered by the soccer reforms are relatively young. The current U15 age group should have some potential players to look forward to a bit by the 2025 U17 Asian Cup. With China at the bottom of the table in the last match, the 2025 U17 Asian Cup can look forward to group qualification, but it is a bit difficult to make an impact on the U17 World Cup. In addition, the U17 World Cup will expand to 48 teams from 2025 and will be held annually, so China's return to the U17 World Cup shouldn't be far away.

China last played in the World Youth Championships in 2005, when a one-two punch saw them reach the last eight and eventually finish seventh. These players included notable internationals such as Wang Dalei, Yang Xu, Yu Dabao, Deng Zhuoxiang and more recently Wang Xuanhong, who has been a controversial player in China's first division. China has been away from the WJC for 20 years, a return to the WJC awaits, but I'm sure it won't be too far away.
