Not long ago, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) officially announced that the Men's U17 and Women's U17 World Cups will be held annually instead of biennially from 2025, with the number of teams in the previous men's tournament increasing directly from 24 to 48. The women's soccer teams, on the other hand, will increase from the previous 16 teams to 24. The main purpose of this FIFA reform is to allow more young players to have the opportunity to show their talents on the international stage and thus gain more attention.

This is certainly good news for the Chinese men's and women's soccer teams, as the expansion of the U17 World Cup means that China's U17 men's and women's soccer teams will have a better chance of breaking out of Asia and competing with the world's best teams. The Chinese men's soccer team will be able to qualify for the U17 World Cup if they advance in the group stage of the next U17 Asian Cup. And China's women's soccer team is a top five finisher in the U17 Women's Asian Cup, which allows them to enter the U17 Women's World Cup!

With the gradual rise of young players, the overall level of Chinese soccer will also see a significant improvement. By then, we will have the confidence to challenge the top teams in Asia and rejoin the World Cup, which is no longer a distant dream!
