COLLEGE EXPERIENCE: Played for Ohio State University. Played in 35 games during his freshman season in 2014-15, averaging 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5 assists and 1.6 steals in 33.9 minutes per game. Winner of the Oscar Robertson Award, Jerry West Award, First Team All-American, First Team All-Big Ten, Big Ten Freshman of the Year, etc. On April 22, 2015, Russell announced that he would forgo his final three years of college to enter the NBA Draft.

Los Angeles Lakers (2015 - 2017):
On June 25, 2015, Russell was selected by the Lakers in the second round of the first round, and made his NBA debut on October 28th.
