Manchester United defender Maguire has spoken candidly in an interview about his side's recent poor performances and emphasized that the players must take responsibility for the poor results.

Maguire said, "This is my sixth season at United and I am well aware of the predicament the club is in at the moment. When you're at a low point, you feel like you're carrying everything on your back. We have proved in the last few seasons that when the team is playing well, we can beat any opponent. But the problem is consistency and we need to show that consistently."

He further noted, "It's easy for us as players to blame our teammates or tactical setups, but it's more important to reflect on ourselves. We have to take responsibility and everyone has to do better in moments like this."

Speaking about the upcoming game against Villa, Maguire said, "We have to find the belief internally and take confidence from last season's away win against Villa. That win showed us what we are capable of, but unfortunately we didn't get the results we deserved in the following games. The performance against Tottenham was certainly poor and on top of that I feel we should have scored more."

"However, this is not the case. That's why we need to start with today's training and get ready for the upcoming games. It will be a tough game away to Villa, but it will also be a great away trip. We need to show our strength and belief in the game and find the victory that is ours."
