In his post-match interview following the 0-1 defeat at home to Liverpool, Crystal Palace boss Glasner gave a comprehensive analysis of the game and expressed confidence in his team's future.

Glasner began by acknowledging Liverpool's excellent performance in the first half, "I think we deserved more in the end, but in the first half we could see how good Liverpool were, they passed the ball very fast and created a lot of problems for us." He also mentioned that Crystal Palace played well in the opening stages but failed to score due to an offside goal and then ran into some problems which allowed Liverpool to take the lead.

Despite being underdogs in the first half, Glasner was pleased with the second half performance, "The second half performance gives me confidence for the rest of the season. We created chances while defending well. I think we should have had a clear penalty, Gueye was pulled down with both hands but the referee didn't award it and we have to accept that."

He particularly emphasized the second half performance as the best of the season: "For me, the second half performance was the best of the season and that gives me a lot of confidence. Of course, we play for results and it's disappointing to lose this game. But I told the players immediately after the game that we will build on it."

Glasner also shared his experience of facing similar dilemmas in his career, "In my career, I've experienced going 0-1 down and Liverpool playing as strong as they always do in the first half. You might have thought that with that kind of performance we could have lost the game 3, 4 or even 5-0. But we held on and came so close to forcing a draw. It was tough even though we didn't do it, but we can't give up because of that."

Finally, Glasner is confident about the team's future, "At the moment it looks like we're failing when we try, but we can't be discouraged by that. The only way to turn things around is to keep trying, stay together and work hard. That's what we're going to do and then we're going to turn the corner and we're going to win. Because we have the strength, we have the mentality to work, we are united and that again gives me a lot of confidence."
